The Hope Special Fund makes one-off payments to refugees and asylum-seekers that fall outside the criteria for the Hope Destitution Fund. Most frequently it pays for travel costs allowing destitute asylum-seekers to go to Liverpool to make further representations in person. For many people this is a requirement if they are to overturn flawed asylum refusals, but without the money to travel this would be forever denied to them.

The Special Fund has also made discretionary payments to support families when a child is sick or disabled.

Donations to the Fund, either one-off or regular, are much appreciated.
